Madly in Love Monday

Diva walked into the kitchen yesterday and asked Engineer, "What was the best moment of your life Daddy?" 

I was sitting not far away, smiling to myself, anticipating EM's response - I just knew he was going to say the day he met me, the day he realized he was in love with me, the day we were married, you get the...picture there was a lot of me in the scenario. 

EM had left the room to do something and Diva & I figured he didn't hear the question until he came back into the room and stated that his best moment was when she was born. 

Let me take a moment and pause this scene to give you some background.  EM & I have always been madly in love with each other.  Although he will say he fell first and I had to take some convincing; nevertheless, we have put each other first since the start.  We believe that without a strong marriage as a foundation, we can't build a strong family.  This is why I expected a me answer to the afore mentioned question and why I was surprised at his response.

Disappointed, Shocked, Aghast, Startled by his answer, I asked him why that moment.  EM said because in that moment Diva went from being a bump to being a person.  In that moment, he went from a husband to a daddy.  If he had to pick a moment that was the most life altering and miraculous then Diva's birth was it. 

And that my friends is why I am madly in love with my Engineer.
