January '11 Finals & Goal Updates
I can't believe that we are already into the second month of the year!
My budget of $280 consists of toiletries, cleaning supplies, gifts, groceries, and the little things that crop up for our family of three people and two dogs.
Because we have decided to make a major push toward getting ourselves in better financial shape, every dollar of my budget that I don't spend gets put directly toward a purpose. This month, that purpose was paying in full for Diva's braces. Yea! So we can cross that off of our list of goals for the year.
A few other things can get crossed off as well. Some are going to be works in progress.
On the inside of our bathroom cabinet we have taped up a list of our financial goals for the year. As well as dollar amounts, we also have a scripture that pertains to each item we want to fulfill. I particularly liked Diva's braces verse from Isaiah 40:4
