Madly in Love Monday

I am madly in love with my Engineer and my little Diva this morning because they are so similarly creatures of habit pattern persnickitiness...because they are such similar creatures. :)

Every Monday you see that I have a menu plan for the week.  Much like the way I cook or well heck, the way I live my life, I like parameters and then I do my own thing within those parameters.  A menu plan to me is a suggestion, I know I have all of the ingredients for each of those meals on hand so it doesn't matter to me which night it gets prepared. 

Engineer and Diva do not operate under these same conditions.   They like structure and if the menu plan posted on the fridge says we are having enchiladas on Tuesday by golly their world gets jolted if we have roast instead. 

Many times Engineer has gone off on one of his pseudo-rants asking why we even have a meal plan if I don't follow it.  In my mind I do follow it.

Diva too expresses her disappointment at having roast on the wrong day.  They are a funny pair.  But if you ask them, I am the one who is odd.

I am madly in love with my little family today because I appreciate their quirks...and the fact that they pay attention to what I post up on the fridge door.  :)
