Madly in Love Monday

I am madly in love with my Engineer this Monday because he is comfortable in his own skin.

We were picking out yet another rosebush from a local nursery.  As we were walking back to our car with Engineer's latest baby in hand, I asked, "You know that we are now officially and firmly planted in the 'Old Folks' category, right?"  He replied, "Are you saying that because we feed the birds and have a rose garden?"*  Uh...yeah...

Engineer does his own thing no matter what and I love that about him.  For instance, the fact that after a begrudging start with a couple of roses, he seems to now be a rose bush collector.  (There are worse and less productive hobbies out there.)  He gently tends and nurtures those plants and loves them because I love them...and because he loves a challenge.

Engineer, I am madly in love with you because you are you.

*Other correct answers were:  we go to bed at 9:30pm, like a cup of tea before dinner, doesn't like change, shouts at kids to "get off his lawn", etc.  Okay, I may have made one of those up...but I won't tell you which one...
