Madly in Love Monday

I am madly in love with my Engineer this Mon...Tuesday because he takes care of the money stuff. 

Do you remember when I said that I was madly in love with Engineer because he worries?  Well, a great deal of that worry is financial; the day to day balancing and reconciling and bill paying stuff that is not fun and pre-Dave Ramsey, was very worrying.

Long before Dave, in a land far away, I was the one who dealt with the bank account.  I am positive that years were lost off of my life due to the stress of those years.

More money was going out than was coming in and the money shuffling game was in full play.  I seem to remember a few yelling matches heated discussions on the topic before I finally said, "Fine!  You do it!" and handed all financial responsibility to Engineer.

Now if anyone thinks that the heavens opened, the angels sang, and all stress instantly disappeared as soon as he took over, think again.  (Well, one of those things did happen, the heavens opened, after all, it was England, land of rain.)

As with all aspects of growing-up, we lived and learned and took our knocks and years later, eventually started climbing out of the pit we had dug for ourselves; with Engineer at the helm.

Thank you Engineer for taking on that burden for us.
