What's Cooking?
We are continuing with filling the freezer. The reason for this is so that when I am in a pinch, I can still get food on the table relatively quickly. There was still some baking to do but I needed to get some savory items in the freezer too.
Here's what we ended up with in our freezer:
A huge round steak has been cut into strips and packaged ready for chicken fried steak fingers
Short ribs smothered in BBQ sauce (as they thaw, they will marinate themselves)
Chicken tenders covered in ginger/sesame marinade
Ground beef formed into patties
Mung Beans & Rice
Amish Friendship Bread
Brownie Cups
And for our fridge, I cranked out a double batch of yogurt. Not much new and exciting but definitely useful.
I even get to take the yogurt making show on the road. Diva's school called and asked if I would come talk to the Jr. High science class today about bacteria and make yogurt with them. Wish me luck! (I hear Jr. High is a tough crowd.)
This is part of Miz Helen's Full Plate Thursday.

Hi Pary,
ReplyDeleteLooks like you have been very busy. I just love that friendship bread. It reminds me that I need to make it again and I will try your recipe. Thanks for sharing with Full Plate Thursday and come back soon!
