Madly in Love Monday

I am madly in love this Monday with my Engineer because he doesn't do things by halves. 

This is a rough (and I use the term to its fullest potential) drawing of what I thought we would have for a concession stand at the Drive-In Movie party.  Keep in mind Diva is the family artist, not me.

But Engineer refused to do some kind of slap-up job for his daughter's party.  Instead, he drew up plans (yes, for a concession stand - there are no bounds to our family's nerdiness) and constructed this:

We had neighbors come over and ask what was going on with all of the day's construction and activity.  Everyone was quite impressed with Engineer's feat.

Engineer was such a good sport about the whole thing and was actually quite proud of his accomplishment.  He basically designed it to withstand a natural disaster...or a whole load of children climbing all over it.

Thank you EM for making another party a great success and for never doing a job halfway.
