Madly in Love Monday
I've said it once and I'll say it again that we are a dance-y kinda family. There is no shame in that.
If you were in San Antonio the last week in July, then you experienced the Moppins "everyday's a disco" phenomenon. And if you saw us, you couldn't miss it.
Because we were in a no worries pure celebration state while visiting S.A., everyone had a slight lilt in their step but every once and a while, I would watch as Engineer and/or Diva would be independently "happy dancing" their way around the city.
I am not kidding when I tell you that more often than not and while at Sea World in particular; Engineer and Diva were bobbing their heads and bopping along as we went from attraction to attraction.
What a pleasure for me to watch them both being so free. They didn't care or notice that others were watching them; they had the music in them. I purposefully lagged slightly behind them so that I could soak up their excitement and joy.
While in one shop, the radio was blaring "Boom Boom Pow" by the Black Eyed Peas and Diva was dancing in front of a mirror full on in a "So You Think You Can Dance" choreographed sort of way and people stopped, smiled, and started watching her. There is something so innocent about letting go of yourself, feeling the music, and not worrying about if you do it right. She was completely liberated and going for it. Once Diva had stopped, the shopkeeper came over and told her to keep dancing.
I pray that for the whole Moppins family - that we will keep dancing. Always.
Thank you Engineer and Diva for making our trip a little more special for me by shaking your groove thangs!
