Menu Plan Monday
We went out with friends on Friday night to an Indian restaurant in Shreveport called Indigo. If you are in NW LA or ET, you NEED to try this place. We hadn't had Indian food (other than what I have made) since we left England 3 1/2 years ago and we were excited to try it out. It did not disappoint. Mmmmm....bhajis and curry.....
Saturday while Engineer ferried our child to and from practices (thank you honey) I attended a cooking demonstration by Chef Ben Ferguson. He studied under Emeril and worked at some major places so it was fun to be able to go to his class. The same group of ladies went to the Grady Spears cooking demo last year and both times we had great fun.
That evening, Engineer, Diva, and I went to the Rita Coolidge concert. We all love live music and Diva was especially enthralled when we found out it was a Christmas concert. Yea! More Christmas tunes - we've got to get our fill while we can so we are soaking them up every chance we get. It was a very intimate setting so afterward we spoke with some of the performers and her pianist encouraged Diva to practice and play from the heart. Thank you piano man. I will take all the reinforcement I can get on the practicing front. :)
Diva participated in the Christmas pageant at church Sunday night. It was a children's operetta called "Eek!" Her grandparents came to the show as well and she was all too pleased to have her adoring fans in the audience.
This week there is more stuff to do than time to do it which is why I am thankful for meat I have previously marinated and frozen so it will be easy to deal with for dinner.
And here's what we will be having:
Monday - Steak, Asparagus, and Thyme Roasted Sweet Potatoes
Tuesday - Salmon Stir Fry with Garlic Bok Choy
Wednesday - Taco Salad
Thursday - Beans, Greens, & Cornbread
Friday - Date Night
This is part of Organizing Junkie's Menu Plan Monday.
