Phase 4 Films Review - "Space Dogs"
Phase 4 Films recently sent us their new movie "Space Dogs" to watch and review. Right off the bat, I'm going to tell you that we enjoyed it.
Based (extremely loosely) on the first dogs in space, Belka & Strelka, "Space Dogs" is a story of friendship, personal triumph, and even a love story. Sounds epic for a cartoon doesn't it?
The CGI and voices were very good and the story was cute. I am not sure that I have ever seen a computer animated film with roots in history before so I will give the movie props for being novel.
Diva and I discussed the events surrounding the tale so it made for some good talking points. The show created a desire for her to want to learn more about the first dogs in space and I'm all for any movie that gets your kids wanted to learn about history.
As we are a household of musicians, the background music always interests us and "Space Dogs" had appropriate music throughout the film.
Diva has watched this film more than once since we received it so I can say with confidence that it is worth watching again and again.
This film is rated G and runs 88 minutes long so it is truly a family film.
*I received a copy of "Space Dogs" from Child's Play Communications as well as Phase 4 Films to review. All opinions are my own. Thanks Child's Play Communications & Phase 4 Films!
