May Brunch
Saturday my Ladies-wot-Brunch came over.
It seemed so long ago that we all sat down and enjoyed coffee and cheesecake together even though it wasn't any longer than usual.
The L-w-B never know what kind of foods they will be subjected to, or what kind of favors they will receive, or if they will be a review panel or not. Today, it was the trifecta of different foods, quirky favors, and reviews.
Our menu (remember, still in a pantry challenge)and yes, it was carb-tastic!:
Snickeroo Coffee
Tomato-Basil Cream Cheese Sandwiches using Rudi's Organic Bakery Bread (for review)
Sausage Breakfast Bundt Cake
Pasta Salad
Pasta Salad
Caesar Salad
Vinegar-Dill Potato Salad
Easiest Fancy Fruit Salad
Easiest Fancy Fruit Salad
Caramel Brownie Cheesecake
As per usual, the ladies all said that this cheesecake was their favorite - they say that every time. :)
Favors: Rudi's Organic Bakery sent us coloring sheets for our kids. What's neat about them is that after our kids have drawn on the sandwich shaped area, we can scan them and send them to Rudi's who will then make a personalized sandwich box with our kids' artwork on them. We were also sent free subscriptions to American Baby magazine along with coupons for Nursery Water.
Review: No one had ever heard of the Rudi's brand before so it was a totally new experience for us. We all really liked it. Most of us try to only eat whole wheat or multi grain bread and liked the flavor and texture of the Rudi's multigrain. It was hearty but not too dense and like I said, had a good flavor. Rudi's, I think you have some new fans.
We had masses of leftovers so we took them over to the Supers' house to add to their crawfish boil fayre. The day was filled with food and I barely fit into my clothes the next day. ;) This week needs to include lots of walking.
