Pomegranate Carmex to the Rescue
If I were to dream up how to make a nearly perfect product (like a Carmex click stick) better, what would I do to it?
Hmmm....let's see...
Maybe give the wearer the ability to fly?
Or for it to magically make the house clean with every click?
Oh, I know, how about when you uncap the click stick, it puts everything around you on pause just long enough for a cup of coffee in peace?
Um, so Carmex didn't ask me what I would like from their super product before they sent me their latest one to try. Instead, they made a new super product up all on their own in the form of a pomegranate click stick. Pomegranate is a superfruit after all.
There is no denying that I love Carmex products, always have, and every time I have the opportunity to try out a new one, I do so with great giddy gusto (I do so like alliteration).
Everything I love about good ol' plain Jane Carmex is present in this new pomegranate variety EXCEPT for the level of zinginess. I would imagine that the most polarizing issue with Carmex is that signature menthol-y tingle; people either love it or hate it. I happen to love it. The good people at Carmex may have found a more balanced recipe in the new pomegranate flavor.
The pomegranate gives a light flavor and scent; in other words, it's not too fru-fru for your man. As with all of the sticks, it has an SPF of 15. Also, there is no tint involved so unlike other brands who advertise the SPF and sunworthiness of their lip product, the Carmex stick won't turn your lips white with zinc oxide or blue or purple with yellow stripes.*
The pomegranate stick claims to be water resistant up to 80 minutes. I put that claim to the test by polishing my pout then brushing my teeth, drinking lemonade, and giving Engineer a smackeroo (not necessarily in that order.) It was well over 80 minutes before I needed to reapply. All the while, my lips never felt greasy.
The lovely folks at Carmex sent me everything pictured above (thank you Carmex) and would love to send one of my readers the same package.
Here's the deal: a winner will be generated at random from the Rafflecopter entries on August 18th. The winner will have 24 hours to contact me or another winner will be drawn so don't forget to leave me your e-mail address. :) Good luck!
The winner has been contacted. Thanks to all who entered! Congratulations Karen Hewitt!
* I may have made up the one with the stripes for effect.
Carmex sent me products for review. All opinions and odd wishes for superpowers are my own.
