Menu 2013 - Week 6
What a weird Superbowl.
We had no inclination to really watch the game as the Cowboys, Texans, or Saints weren't playing. But, some friends of ours invited us over to watch the game at their house so of course we jump at any chance to visit with friends and have great food. The Superbowl just happened to be in the background.
We did, however, watch the whole halftime show and all of us ladies decided that we could be Beyonce's back up dancers if we ever got the call. Please don't call.
Last week was fairly monumental because I agreed to a HUGE commitment that will last the better part of this year. You'll hear a more in depth report soon. I'm going to need prayer. Just sayin'.
Saturday I hosted a class on "How to Work a Room" with a delightful group of young ladies. I had them over for morning coffee and we ran through techniques, dos and don'ts, and various other points before heading off for a beautiful luncheon.
What the girls didn't know was that there was an ambush waiting on them, several of my Ladies-wot-Brunch. :) We all sat down and reviewed what I had taught in the morning with the added bonus of four other ladies' experience and input.
It was a divinely orchestrated experience. My L-w-B only knew to come to lunch and talk to some girls, they had no idea what I had said to the girls earlier. Yet, every. single. point I made in the morning, one of the ladies brought out over lunch. The whole experience could not have been more perfect.
I desire for all of my classes to be like that. It may have inspired an e-book but I've got many an e-book rattling around in my noggin, so we'll just have to see.
This week we are taking a break from eMeals. Instead, we will be eating from previous cooking efforts since I need to make some room in freezer.
Here's what we will be having:
Sunday - Superbowl Party
Monday- Chicken Curry over Rice, Salad
Tuesday - Pancakes
Wednesday - Chicken Spaghetti, Salad, Garlic Bread
Thursday - Stuffed Peppers, Salad, Roasted Sweet Potatoes
Friday - Date Night
Saturday - Leftovers
This is part of Menu Plan Monday.
