Menu Plan - Week 19

I had AMAZING luck at garage sales this week.  All kinds of neat stuff and most of it not what I tend to look for - no cast iron, silver, or hats.

I was kind of on a mission since we are hosting an outdoor cocktail party in a couple of weeks and I want some stuff I can repurpose to help spruce up the yard.  Sure, we have flowers (which I love) and a garden but our yard is not one that will be photographed for a magazine anytime soon.

And since we are not all that visionary with turning trash to treasure, I am having to do some serious Pinteresting.  For real.  It's research.  Somebody has to do it.  Ahem...

So far I have an old desk/dressing table, a mirror, and a stand that has a pivoting mirror at top, a hook at left and a flat surface on the right.

Any suggestions as to what I can do with them would be welcomed.  I was thinking of turning the dressing table into a planter...or a bar...and as for the mirror maybe a creative lighting element?

I'll take picture of stuff as we get to it so you can see what we ended up doing...if we do anything at all...

Diva sang a solo in church this morning and then after having lunch with her very proud parents and grandparents, she performed in a Young Artists Recital.  It was a lovely day full of music.

May.  The busiest month of the year.  From here until the end of school, we will be pedal to the metal.

Here's what we will be eating this week:

Sunday - Pizza & Tomato Cucumber Salad
Monday - Fish Pie w/Roasted Broccoli & Cauliflower
Tuesday - Spinach Alfredo & Salad
Wednesday - Breakfast for Supper
Thursday - Bacon Sandwiches w/Broiled Tomatoes and Roasted Potatoes
Friday - Date Night
Saturday - Leftovers

This is part of Menu Plan Monday.

  1. How was the fish pie? That sounds intriguing! You eat a very healthy diet. Good for you! Are the ribbons new on the edge of the blog? It's so cute!

    1. I have yet to make the fish pie this week. The thing about our meal plan is that I try to be flexible within the week in case something comes up. I have made the mashed potatoes for it though so at least I have one component. ;) We try to eat healthily and no, the ribbons have been there since day one. Thanks for stopping by!
