Menu Ideas from the Brookshire's Ad
A meal plan is a great way to save money and not waste food.
I want to show you that as long as you are intentional in your shopping and cooking, you will save money on your grocery bill regardless if you use coupons or not.
Generally, the cost of the whole meal will be less than or equal to the tip you would leave at a restaurant.
These ideas are taken directly from the Brookshire's circulars and using Brookshire's Match-ups.
This week you could make:
- Lemon Roasted Chicken, Roasted Potatoes, & Pomegranate, Feta, & Spinach Salad
- Chicken Piccata over Spaghetti w/Salad
- BBQ Ribs, Waffle Fries, Stewed Apples
- Cider Glazed Pork Roast, Steamed Carrots, Hot Tomato Grits
- Lasagna, Garlic Bread, Sauteed Mushrooms
- Fried Chicken & Cornbread Waffles w/Oranges
- Chicken Bacon Ranch Sandwich, Poached Pears, Chips
- Eggs Florentine, Oatmeal, & Broiled Tomatoes
- Ro-Tel Soup (throw in any leftover chicken, bacon, and mushrooms) w/Leftover Salad
- Meatloaf Cupcakes w/Mashed Potato Frosting and Mixed Vegetables
Leftover Recipes:
- Chicken & Rice or Noodle Soup - boil chicken carcass for stock and use leftover veggies & rice or noodles
- Preserved Lemons (for use at another time)
