Madly in Love

I asked Engineer what we were going to do for our 15th wedding anniversary next March.

We discussed all the past things we had done and places we had gone and he reminded me that those trips had all been on credit cards and that wasn't the way we did things anymore.

I said that I would really like for us to have a romantic getaway commemorating our 15th; it's kind of a big deal.  I mean over 40% of my life has been spent married to him!  Surely that's worth a little time away from it all.

Engineer's answer?  He said, "I AM your romantic getaway.  I get away from all kinds of romance all the time!"

I don't believe that's true at all - there are years of Madly in Loves to prove otherwise.  But you are right, no matter where we are, as long as you are there, it is a romantic getaway every time.
