Madly in Love
How did this happen?
When did we become old enough to have a teenager in the house?
Today, that's when.
Today is Diva's 13th birthday.
Unbelievable.
I'm sure all of you parents of teenagers out there feel the same sense of did-we-do-everything-we-possibly-could-have-to-prepare-them-for-what's-ahead-ness.
For Diva's 13th birthday we took her back to her roots. Her soggy rain-soaked English roots.
I think she enjoyed herself.
1-4-3 DM! You have always been, are now, and always will be our little girl...no matter how many years you've been on this earth.
It's definitely a ~faint~ inducing moment, but so many great year's ahead!
ReplyDeleteIt absolutely is Ms. Patti! :)
DeleteHappy birthday to her! Our daughter is 9 and while 13 seems so far away, it will be here if I blink. ;)
ReplyDeleteThank you Ms. Colleen and yes ma'am, that time certainly does fly by! :)

ReplyDeleteIt is indeed exciting to think of all the possibilities that unfold for her.

DeleteOMGoodness, wait until I tell my grandson Alex that he and Diva have the same birthday. (She called him "New Guy" at school.) He will be over the moon to know this! He was born on 6-9-2003. Happy Birthday, Diva!! I always enjoyed seeing you whenever I was at Trinity this past year.
ReplyDeleteYes, she mentioned they had the same birthday. Thank you for the well wishes and please tell Alex happy birthday from us. :)
