Our friends/neighbors, Engineer, and I before the fundraiser

We kicked off the week spending time with my parents and my aunt from Oklahoma City who was visiting.  It's always lovely to see her and she never fails to bring books for Diva.

I don't go shopping very much at all anymore but we did happen to go to Target to grab a couple of things.  The 70% off black dot sale caught my eye as did a decorative hanging slate.  The photo is of the inside of the package...someone clearly cannot follow directions.

Engineer finished working for the company that brought us back stateside 7 years ago and started working for the new company.  He was in Houston a good portion of the week getting settled into his new role.

All of our roses are chosen for beauty AND scent

It's exciting to see which roses will be the next to bloom.  This one is called Scentimental and I adore it's red & white variegated petals.

Winnie had to be taken to the vet for a good once over.  She is an extremely timid and nervous dog and the vet visit did not go over well.  At one point my normally calm and docile hound was spooked, bit the vet tech (she has never bitten anyone before), and ran to hide behind me where she cowered shivering in fear.  We all needed a nap after that fiasco.  All involved are fine now.

Diva's book club had its penultimate meeting.  They read C.S. Lewis' "The Screwtape Letters" and watched "Narnia" since there was no movie that we knew of that went went Screwtape.  The kids in her book club are smart and funny.  I know she will miss them when we move.

Saturday evening, a group of our friends from Marshall came over and met us at Artini, the fundraiser for the Bossier Arts Council.  We all had a great time and if we weren't moving, I think this would be an annual event for us.

Sunday - Roast Turkey, Chipotle Cranberry Sauce, Cumin Spiced Pureed Carrots, Sesame Green Beans, Green Salad, Strawberry Chocolate Chip Cake
Monday - Veggie Quiche & Green Salad
Tuesday - Meatball Casserole & Salad
Wednesday - Roasted Salmon w/Tabbouleh
Thursday - Pizza w/Friends
Friday - Date Night
Saturday - Leftovers
