Madly in Love
Engineer and Diva have a wonderful relationship. They share a similar sense of humor and a similar outlook on life. The pair also suffer through my cheesy jokes with an unmistakable solidarity.
The two of them have been taking sailing lessons together since we moved down to Clear Lake and it's been a sweet time of bonding. Diva is 14 now and activities and opportunities for her daddy to bond with her are becoming more infrequent.
I'm thankful that Engineer has taken the initiative to invest in his relationship with Diva and that she has been receptive to the idea of sailing the high seas...well, Galveston Bay anyway, with her dear ol' dad.
1-4-3 EM & DM! Y'all are about the cutest Cap'n and 1st Mate I have ever seen.
Nothing benefits a girl more than a fabulous father-daughter relationship! How blessed you are!
ReplyDeleteComfort and joy, friend ...
We try to focus on our relationships with each other. If we do nothing else right in parenting our child, Diva will grow up knowing that her parents loved each other and loved her very much.
Deletegreat photos and nice update. Miss you guys!
ReplyDeleteThanks Jay! :)
DeleteSailing lessons sound like a fun way to bond :)
ReplyDeleteIt has been lots of fun for them, good exercise, great way to stay sharp, and like Engineer says, there are no boys chasing her out on the water. ;)
